OHL Roundup: Gushchin, Van Loon each score twice in Niagara's 7-3 win over Ottawa

OTTAWA — Danil Gushchin scored twice and assisted on two goals, including the game-winner, to lift the Niagara IceDogs to a 7-3 victory over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League action on Monday.

Liam Van Loon scored two goals, including the winner midway through the second period, while Brenden Sirizzotti, Juan Copeland, and Brice Cooke had singles for Niagara (16-34-2-1).

Vinzenz Rohrer had a pair of goals for Ottawa, while Chris Barlas also scored.

Josh Rosenzweig turned aside 25 shots in net for Niagara. Will Cranley stopped 16 shots for the 67's (23-26-2-5), while Max Donoso turned aside 12.

GUELPH, Ont. -- Brayden Guy scored twice, including the game-winner at 10:58 in the third period. Sasha Pastujov and Cam Allen had a goal apiece for the Storm (27-19-5-2). Brendan Hoffmann, Brett Bressett and Carey Terrance had singles for Erie (23-26-2-2).

KNIGHTS 6, SPIRIT 5

LONDON, Ont. -- Antonio scored two goals, including the third-period game-winner. Luke Evangelista also scored twice for the Knights (34-17-2-0), while Sean McGurn and Denver Barkey had singles. Dean Loukus and Luke McNamara had two goals apiece to lead Saginaw (18-35-1-0), while Sebastien Gervais also scored.

BULLDOGS 3, GENERALS 0

HAMILTON, Ont. -- George Diaco scored twice as Hamilton blanked Oshawa. Logan Morrison added a single for the Bulldogs, who lead the Eastern Conference (37-11-2-2). The Generals fell to 25-25-1-4.
