QMJHL Roundup: Cataractes take down Phoenix 6-5 in overtime

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Stéphane Huard Jr. capped his hat trick with the game-winning goal 37 seconds into overtime as the Shawinigan Cataractes edged the Sherbrooke Phoenix 6-5 on Friday.

Charles-Olivier Villeneuve scored two goals and Loris Rafanomezantsoa provided the rest of the offence for Shawinigan (17-16-1-2). Rémi Delafontaine had 36 saves.

Tristan Giroux, Justin Gill, Ethan Gauthier, Israël Mianscum and Milo Roelens replied for Sherbrooke (21-10-2-2). Samuel St-Hilaire stopped 29 shots.

The Cataractes went 4-for-5 on the power play, with three of the goals coming from Huard. The Phoenix were 3-for-6.
