On October 30, 2020, Mr. Raymond Cardinal of Saddle Lake passed away at the age of 75 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne; 2 daughters & 3 sons, Cindy Cardinal (Shane Logan), Kenny Quinney, Carrie (Derek) Tremblay, Sheldon Myers & Chris Myers; mother of Cindy, Mary-Ann Redcrow; adopted daughter, Gale Nahnepowisk; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 adopted grandchild, Mya Jackson; 7 sisters & 1 brother, Emily Moosewah, Christina Cardinal, Helen Nancy Cardinal, Irene Cardinal, Doris (Robert) Cardinal, Valerie Cruz, Harriet Large & Sam (Earlene) Cardinal; 2 brothers-in-law, Nelson Bernard & Oscar Cruz; numerous nieces & nephews & 1 adopted nephew, Jim Cardinal; adopted sister & brothers, Sophie Pearson, James Hunter & John Yewchin. Raymond was predeceased by his daughter, Donna Lynn; parents, Mathew & Rachel Cardinal; 4 sisters, Victoria Dion, Lena Bernard, Jean Whiskeyjack & Sarah Cardinal; 2 brothers & 1 sister in infancy; brothers-in-law, Peter Dion, James Moosewah, Sonny Whitford & Hector Cardinal.
A Private Wake & Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ayiwakes Cultural Centre, Saddle Lake. Reverend Father Michael Ngo will be the celebrant with interment in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saddle Lake.
