It is with great sadness the family of Marie de la Salle announces her passing. She leaves behind her loving husband (Bob) of almost 59 years and her 3 children, Gerald (Mimi), Laura (Adrian) and Mitch (Lesley). She was blessed with 5 grandchildren who were very special to her (Julie, Chantal, Erin, Lucas and AJ).
She was predeceased by her father, Alphonse. Mother Alexina, brother Albert, and sisters, Annette, Alma, Alice.
Marie was the last of her generation descending from Phillip and Agnes Boisvert who moved their family from Shawinigan Quebec to Therien Alberta in 1908. When she was a child, she was cared for and inspired by her wheelchair bound grandmother Dumont.
Marie was a devoted mother and special grandmaman. She will be sadly missed by her many friends, extended family and all who knew her. She saw the good in everyone and was admired for her genuine kindness and her friendly smile. She was a gracious hostess who made all guests feel very welcomed in her home. She took tremendous pride in making pies and sharing them for all to enjoy.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr Jerome and Dr Bain. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Liver Foundation. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00AM Friday, July 9, 2021 at Connelly McKinley with Reverend Dean Dowle presiding, and the service will be live streamed. In respect to some of the family not being fully vaccinated we kindly request the wearing of masks if you have not been vaccinated.
