Heaven gained a beloved soul as Karen Louise Vandervoort has been gloriously reunited with two of her precious daughters in Heaven. On May 31, 2025 she finished her adventure in this world at the age of 61 years, and has been promoted to the presence of her Saviour. She always lived with her eyes fixed on eternity, knowing deep in her heart that one day, she would be with Jesus, and embrace her girls again. The long-awaited reunion has come, and there icomfort taken in the joy that must be echoing in Heaven; laughter, love, and wholeness restored. Her unwavering faith carried her through this life, and now, in the arms of her Lord, her journey is complete.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Joe; children, Coral (Shaun) Robinson, Janel (Keith) & Billy; grandchildren, Angel, Voann, Jasmin, Bradley, Alexa, Sierra, Wyatt, Clayton, Savannah, Lyn, Addison & Kaycee; siblings, Andy Calahizen & Penny Calahizen; in-laws, Harry & Rose Vandervoort; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Karen was predeceased by her daughters, Rose Ann Calahizen & Samantha Vandervoort; biological mother, Alice Rita Desjarlais; parents, Rose & Alfred Christman. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Goodridge Jubilee Hall with Pastor Kelly Sibley officiating. Cremation has taken place.
