TORONTO — Toronto police say five youths — including a 12-year-old boy — have been arrested after an alleged stabbing near a Scarborough high school left two other teens injured on Monday.

Police say officers responded to a report of a stabbing near Guildwood Parkway and Livingston Road just before 2 p.m.

Police allege five suspects approached two 15-year-old boys who were waiting at a bus stop, surrounded the pair and began assaulting them, demanding their phones and wallets.

They allege both victims were stabbed during the assault and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have said the stabbing took place off school property and both victims were students.

Police say five boys, ranging in age from 12 to 15, were each charged with two counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, two counts of assault causing bodily harm and one count of possessing a weapon dangerous to public peace.

They say the suspects are scheduled to appear in court next month.
