Peel Regional Police say a teacher is facing charges following allegations of child abuse at a Mississauga, Ont., public school.
Police say they launched an investigation in May after the teacher allegedly physically moved four students into a room and forcibly confined them, preventing them from leaving.
Police say the 36-year-old male teacher faces four counts of assault and forcible confinement.
They also say investigators believe there may be more victims.
The Peel District School Board says the teacher is currently suspended as they await the outcome of the investigation.
The accused man is scheduled to appear in a Brampton, Ont., court at a later date.
