To the Editor:
The Hats for Healing Pink Heart Auction committee would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to all of the individuals and businesses who donated so much of their time, as well as cash and items for our fundraiser. Also a big thank you to all who attended the live and silent auction on Dec. 9 at the Recreation Centre and opened your hearts to support the families affected by the Racette School tragedy.
We would also like to thank the St. Paul & Community Family Benefit group who took the time to manage the concession to raise funds for their New Year’s event and the Grade 6 students who came out to volunteer their help in support of their classmates.
Thank you to Any Jubinville, the performers, the Town of St. Paul and everyone who volunteered their time on the day of the auction. A special thank you to the Pink Heart Campaign for your efforts in planning and promoting the auction. This auction could not have been such a huge success without all of your help and we are very proud to announce that $83,253.73 was raised on Sunday for the families.
It is amazing that with our community and surrounding communities’ support, a small Facebook auction called Hats for Healing could grow to become such a huge fundraiser.
To the Wolitski, Guitard and Luce families, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
