To the Editor:
The media has done an excellent job of covering the Redford-Zwozdesky legislature gong show or “Tobacco-Gate.” It has been said many times that in politics one hand washes the other. We must be thankful for the media and opposition parties who try to keep a watch on governments in the free world. Also, no issue should considered too small if it means that the integrity of our leaders is in question. We might criticize media methods or material but that is the way democracy is meant to work. Heaven forbid a government that conceals, distorts, suppresses information or even intimidates the populace at will. Examples are Russia, China, Iran, Egypt, and Syria.
