Look out your window; do you see that? It’s the sun.

It’s time to stop complaining it’s too hot outside and embrace the warmer weather.

Go to the local splash park or head to the nearest lake.

Even a sprinkler on your front lawn would do.

So many people complain that Alberta winters last forever, and that the province really only sees a few weeks of summer.

Well, if that’s the case, take advantage of it.

The Lakeland has so much to offer.

It seems as though there’s something family-related going on every weekend.

Just take a look through this paper. You’ll see some of the great coverage we have of the numerous events that have happened across the region.

Cold Lake held their annual Aqua Days, the Bonnyville Legion invited families to their motorcycle and car show, and there were even a few baseball games to take-in.

Regardless of what you’re in the mood for, there’s always something.

Even if public events aren’t you’re thing, there are tons of trails, bike paths, and other recreational activities to take part in.

Rather than complain that “it’s just too hot,” slap on a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, sunglasses, and of course, sunscreen, and take it outside.

At least when the snow begins to fly you can say “I enjoyed it while it lasted.”
