The Lac La Biche and District Music Festival begins this week (March 27 to April 9) We know — Wow, time flies.
Once again, the community will showcase its musical talents to respected adjudicators, displaying the talents of young and old for family and friends.
The Music Festival is a tradition going back decades — and it needs to continue.
This year, organizers who have tirelessly brought the month-long talent-fest to the community are, well ... tired. Like a voice that has reached crescendo, they are at the peak of their efforts and need a rest.
As you take in this year’s long-list of recitals that lead up to April’s community concerts where performers take to the stage, offering their unique skills as they sing, speak and play their instruments, perhaps play something of your own ... and idea... that you could help to keep this long-standing tradition alive.
Seeing more volunteers and organizers join this wonderful event would be music to the ears of the long-serving volunteers who would love to take a bow and hand off the tradition to the next generation of music lovers.
