WASTING TAX PAYER DOLLARS

I was shocked to find out that the County bought the abandoned newly renvoted Ford dealership. What a poor decision to waste Tax Payer dollars on huge expensive building for the purpose of retrofitting it for then new fire department building! If council member's and the Mayor were intelligent enough they would see that Lac La Biche is going through tough economic times !! and residents are moving out town for better opportunity elsewhere!  This town is shrinking and businesses are closing ! do we really need to multi millions for a building to house a local fire trucks when the present shop is adequate enough. Our local community presents very little opportunity for success, because of the county's history and present attitude of anti-businesses and residents should be up in arms over the county decision to purchase this extravagant fire hall.

Our town is so UNDERDEVELOPED and LACKING SERVICES and FRANCHISES!!!

If our population and businesses were increasing you can justify a new Multimillion dollar fire hall.

The anti-business council speaks for itself, for many years I have tried to develop a franchise like a Polaris Dealership and many years before that a Tim Horton's but county council and a few wealthy and CORRUPT business owners rejected any such development. the cycle of corruption continues. I am offering the county to buy my 5 acre commercial property, and they can build a new fire hall the way they want for a fraction of the price they paid for the abandoned ford dealer. but that is not likely to happen because who i am. counties priorities should be to encourage development and end there corrupt ways. when we allow development and reduce corruption our community will flourish and people will move here that would justify a extravagant fire hall. one only has to go shopping to st.pual or Athabasca and see how those communities are thriving in tough economic times. council and mayor should stop wasting time and money on beautifying main street and focus on how to convince small business to come toL ac La  Biche. more small business means more tax base and more housing developments. our county cant even attract members to join chamber of commerce because for so many years they prevented commerce by rejecting small business development. what a shame. one must question the competency of council. in the meantime i will continue to pay taxes on my commercial property that i can not develop.

CONCERNED LIFE LONG RESIDENT
