Editor's Note - As a continued rise in the amount of thefts, mischief and vagrancy takes place in downtown Lac La Biche, one woman says it's not fair to blame some people who have hit hard times. Her letter to the editor has been modified slightly from the original version she sent in. The letter has been edited for some grammar and punctuation and some areas that may have been difficult to read some readers.
The letter has been published because it is the writer's opinion. Staff at the POST do not edit for opinions. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, though they may not be shared or endorsed by this newspaper.
Submissions are edited for length and possible slanderous or libelous content.
The same writer has been adamant that the piece runs, going so far as to suggest the media is "prejudice" for not printing it.
Letter to the Editor:
To the businesses - don’ t blame the homeless, adjust your pricing accordingly to make shopping in Lac La Biche affordable.
If the businesses want more RCMP or peace officers, let them pay for them and not the taxpayer.
We don’ t realize how lucky we are to be living in Lac La Biche and not some war-torn country.
I am not against immigration.
Our government should be looking after people here first before bringing more immigrants into the country.
