It seems as though Alberta has taken another blow, the loss of more jobs in an already struggling economy.
When I heard the news that the Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment was relocating and the area would be losing a minimum of 50 jobs, I felt it.
I may have grown up in Ontario, but moving to Alberta has shown me what a devastating impact oil can have.

We have lost hundreds of thousands of jobs, and here we go again losing more.
Fifty may not sound like much, but to those families it’s everything.
Their whole world is changing.
What makes it even harder, is the holidays are right around the corner, so while some of us are celebrating the season, others are worrying about what’s next.
I hope that these families get some answers.
I hope we all get some answers.
A community being impacted like this deserves to know more than just “this is what’s happening, take it or leave it.”
We deserve to know why.
But, like in many cases, I’m not sure we will ever get the answers we’re searching for.
