Tear it down

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I’m a 17-year-old high school student who has been living in Bonnyville for the past seven years. I’m writing to you about an issue I have in this town.

Right next to the house I’m living at on 49 Ave., there is a burnt abandoned house. My concern is I see lots of little kids who go and play in that house, which is very dangerous. The roof can collapse and fall on them! I also see lots of adults going in that house and taking stuff out of it. This is also a big health concern, because this stuff could be contaminated. There is mould growing inside and outside of the house, and I think the house needs to be brought down immediately.

Another reason this really bothers me is because someone could get killed and it’s really often I see people go in there, and every time I do, I go out and tell them they can’t be in there because it will collapse on them.

I think if you write about this in your newspaper it would help show the town that they need to take this house down.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Noah
