MONTREAL — A 17 and an 18-year-old are in critical condition after handling an electric circuit breaker in a vacant building in Montreal.
Two other teens, aged 16 and 19, were unhurt and were arrested at the scene.
Montreal Police say they were called around 5:20 p.m. Saturday to the building in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough following the sounds of an explosion.
The two young men were found badly hurt and taken to hospital.
Police spokesperson Const. Caroline Chèvrefils says the teens allegedly broke into the building intending to steal.
The two suspects who weren't hurt were arrested for break and enter and were released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
