CALGARY — Police in Calgary are investigating a shooting that left two people dead and one person in hospital. Officers responded to an area in northwest Calgary before 9 p.m. on Friday after reports of shots being fired.

CALGARY — The Sofina Foods/Lilydale poultry processing plant in Calgary will remain open despite a growing COVID-19 outbreak. An Alberta Health official said Friday there had been 19 cases of the virus with 18 of them still considered active.

SMITH FALLS, Ont. — Canopy Growth Corp. says it will open its first retail cannabis stores in Alberta. The Ontario-based company says it's set to open 10 stores under the Tweed and Tokyo Smoke banners and has additional locations in the pipeline.
