Tommy Boy Grillin' wins Overall Grand Champion and the $2,000 grand prize.▲

Best Chicken category saw a tie for first place. Tommy Boy Grillin' and Team Ryan share the bragging rights.▲

Slam Dunk BBQ received the title of Reserve Overall Grand Champion as well as first place for Best Ribs and second place for Best Brisket.▲

Second Hand Smoke won Best Appy, which was determined by Fans Choice. The team also won third place for Best Brisket, third place for Best Ribs and second place Best Chicken.▲

BONNYVILLE - The Town of Bonnyville's second annual BBQ Bash was all about the meat, the bragging rights and supporting a good cause.

With many competitors opting to camp overnight at the rodeo grounds to prepare and marinate their meats - putting their recipes and smoker methods to the test - the public and judges were in for a treat the following day.

Competitors had the choice of entering into four categories this year, chicken legs or thighs, brisket, pork ribs, and best appy (appetizer). Those who entered into all four categories had the opportunity to win the title of Overall Grand Champion and the $2,000 prize that came with it.

All proceeds raised from the smoker competition went to the Bonnyville food bank.
