It’s been said that people should make hay when the sun shines. While Saturday’s sunny and relatively warm temperatures weren’t quite haying weather, they were ideal for outdoor winter activities, including making a snowman.

In the early afternoon, Karen Langato and her children, Keandra and Kenzo, were on the frozen surface of Lac La Biche lake, enjoying themselves as they took advantage of recently fallen snow to build a snowman. The lake and its environs will be a busy and exciting place this upcoming weekend as the community gets set to host the annual Lac La Biche Winter Festival of Speed.
