A community celebration simply wouldn’t be the same without a good old-fashioned midway. Throughout the long weekend, the land across from the Al-Kareem Mosque took on a carnival – like atmosphere complete with exciting, thrilling rides, games of chance, and concession outlets selling everything from traditional cotton candy, ice cream, and hot dogs to more unique food items such as a very sweet pastry known as ‘Elephant Ears.’
