By the time firefighters arrived on the scene, the second floor balcony of a 41 St. apartment was already engulfed in flames.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours of April 4, and the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority (BRFA) Station 5 was called to the scene at 2:17 a.m., according to a BRFA press release.
Firefighters quickly got the flames under control before they could severely damage the interior of the building, though the fire had spread to the third floor balcony, causing minor damage there as well.
Investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, and damage estimates are unavailable at this time. There were no reports of injuries.
