Shortly after 6:00 p.m. Monday, a bus carrying Cenovus workers home from their shift at Foster Creek went off the road and rolled in the ditch. The incident happened on range road 460 about 25 kilometres south of the south security gate to the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range in northeastern Alberta. There were 13 people on the bus, including the driver. All of them have been taken to hospitals in Cold Lake and Bonnyville and have since been released, according to a Cenovus press release issued Monday night.

"We take responsibility for all incidents involving our workers and our immediate priority is to ensure everyone who was on the bus is cared for by medical professionals," said Cenovus spokesperson Rhona DelFrari. "The names of the people injured and the extent of their injuries are not being released publicly at this time. We're doing everything we can to help those who are injured and are in the process of contacting their families."

"Cenovus is engaging the appropriate authorities. A police investigation will help determine the cause of the bus crash, said DelFrari"

"Thank you to everyone who assisted us with this emergency response, especially the emergency response personnel from Cold Lake and Bonnyville. We will release further information as it becomes available," said DelFrari.
