Election candidates announced

Nomination papers were accepted on the morning of Sept. 23 in the Town of Bonnyville, MD of Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Glendon, as candidates officially announced their intention to run in the upcoming election.

The 24 hour period for candidates to withdraw passed at noon on Sept. 24 making all of the following list official.

Here is the list of candidates running in the Town of Bonnyville election:

Mayor - Brent Boulrice, Ernie Isley and Gene Sobolewski

Councillors - Connie Boulrice, Jim Chevrie, John Irwin, Nestor Kunec, John Orr, Ray Prevost, Lorna Storoschuk and Rene Van Brabant

Here is the unofficial list of candidates running in the MD of Bonnyville election:

Reeve - Ed Rondeau (incumbent) and Erwin Thompson

Ward 1 (Fort Kent area) - Werner Gisler and Don Sinclair (incumbent)

Ward 2 - Lionel Campeau, David Fox (incumbent) and Jerry Germain

Ward 3 - Mike Krywiak (incumbent/acclaimed)

Ward 4 - Barry Kalinski (incumbent/acclaimed)

Ward 5 (Ardmore area) - Dana Swigart (acclaimed)

Ward 6 (Cold Lake rural) - Fred Bamber (incumbent) and Delano Tolley
