According to RCMP, no injuries were sustained by anyone involved.

Desjarlais-Janvier was arrested and charged with robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, flight from police, possession of stolen property, and breaches.
He will appear in the Cold Lake Provincial Courthouse on April 11.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7200, Cold Lake RCMP at 780-594-3302, or Crime Stoppers.

RCMP charge and arrest pair with mail thefts

The local RCMP have arrested a 27-year-old female, and 32-year-old male both from Bonnyville, in relation to the ongoing mail theft investigation.

On April 7, a resident observed a female breaking into super mailboxes.

RCMP located the female who was in possession of stolen mail and break-in instruments.
Sgt. Sarah Parke said a search of the female suspect’s vehicle, and later her home, revealed even more stolen mail.

“Her and her boyfriend have both been charged with multiple counts,” Parke added.

The female was charged with 36 different counts relating to these offences, while the male was charged with 23 counts.

“We believe the incident on Saturday is related to four previous investigations we have taken on since April 3,” Parke detailed.

They will appear in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on April 17.
