MD of Bonnyville residents elected incumbent Barry Kalinski as their Ward 4 councillor, Glen Johnson for Ward 5 and Fred Bamber for Ward 6 in the municipal election Oct. 18. Results are still unofficial, with official results expected by Oct. 22 after 12 p.m.
Kalinski received 300 votes while his only challenger Marcy MacEachern received 235 votes. In the Ward 5 race, Johnson received 196 votes, incumbent Andy Wakaruk received 178 votes, while James Sevenson received 93 votes.
Four candidates ran in Ward 6. Bamber received 246 votes, while Paul Gullackson received 124. Bob Engleder and incumbent Delano Tolley each received 70 votes.
The following positions were acclaimed on Sept. 20: Ed Rondeau- reeve, Don Sinclair- Ward 1 councillor, David Fox- Ward 2 councillor, and Mike Krywiak- Ward 3 councillor.
