Mischief on main street

RCMP Report
Bonnyville RCMP Report
BONNYVILLE - A 33-year-old Bonnyville man known to local RCMP was arrested on two separate occasions last week.

At 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 16, officers attended the Bonnyville Post Office after they complained of a male passed out in the back.

“RCMP attended and located a 33-year-old male from Bonnyville familiar to police intoxicated on the floor,” detailed S/Sgt. Sarah Parke. “He was arrested for mischief and public intoxication and was lodged into cells until he was sober.”

Kyle Nadeau was charged for public intoxication and released from police custody on Dec. 17, but it wasn’t long before he once again found himself behind bars.

“On Dec. 18 at 4 p.m, we received a report that the same individual was causing mischief in a public place on main street and was uttering threats,” Parke outlined.

He was located and RCMP determined he was intoxicated.

“Upon his arrest a small amount of methamphetamine was located on his person,” added Parke.

Nadeau has now been charged with mischief, uttering threats, and possession of methamphetamine.

Multiple charges follow man’s attempts to lie to RCMP

According to Parke, on Dec. 14 at around 10:30 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on 50 Ave. The driver, who was later identified as 25-year-old Mudie Lake, SK resident Windul Weeseekase, lied about his identity.

“Through the investigation it was determined he was using his brother’s identity to avoid apprehension due to warrants he was on,” explained Parke.

The vehicle was towed after police discovered Weeseekase was suspended from driving.

He was arrested and charged with improperly displaying a license plate, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving without a license, driving without the proper registration, five counts of failing to comply with conditions, driving while prohibited, and obstructing police.

Weeseekase will appear in Bonnyville court Jan. 21.
