Kehewin Cree Nation has a new chief.
Residents of the community just south of Bonnyville have elected Eric Gadwa as their new chief.
The election for chief took place Monday and the winner was announced that evening.
Elections for council took place a week prior, in which Gadwa was re-elected to council.
He will replace his nephew, Ernest Gadwa, as the new chief.
