Part of Highway 660 closed as emergency crews respond to collision aftermath

Parts of Highway 660 near Range Road 471 are still closed in the area where a collision took place earlier in the day on Friday.

Crews from Station 5 Bonnyville responded to a two-vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a mid-size sedan at 12:50 p.m. on Hwy 660 near RR 471.

BONNYVILLE - Portions of Highway 660 near Range Road 471 will remain closed until an RCMP traffic analyst completes an investigation, following a two-vehicle collision that occurred earlier in the day on Friday.

Crews from Station 5 Bonnyville responded to a two-vehicle collision at 12:50 p.m. on Hwy 660 near RR 471.

"A motorcycle struck the rear end of a mid-size sedan that was travelling east on Hwy 660," Regional Fire Chief Dan Heney confirmed.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to the Bonnyville Healthcare Centre with serious injuries. There were no injuries to occupants of the car.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the site of the incident.
