BONNYVILLE - A Spooktacular Family Fun Day is set to take place this weekend at the Bonnyville & District Centennial Centre (C2) in celebration of not only Halloween, but also to acknowledge a new partnership between the recreation centre and Federation Engineering and Construction.

Thanks to the partnership, the climbing wall at the C2 Centre will be more accessible to the public.

"We are delighted to be part of this endeavour. The 'Federation Group Climbing Wall' will open its doors to all community members during our Open Climb Time, absolutely free of charge. Furthermore, we are proud to announce the elimination of harness fees for users of the climbing wall," according to Jordan Costley, director of projects for Federation Engineering and Construction.

Vicky Bird, Recreation Manager at the C2, was also happy to be part of the announcement.

"We are thrilled to unveil the ‘Federation Engineering and Construction Climbing Wall.' Thanks to the Federation Engineering and Construction’s commitment to our community, we are poised to take our climbing experience to new heights. This partnership is a game-changer for us and the entire Bonnyville community," said Bird.

The 'Federation Engineering and Construction Climbing Wall' is a shared vision of making recreational opportunities more accessible for all residents, according to those involved.

To celebrate the new partnership, Federation Engineering and Construction is holding an event at the C2 Centre that will include plenty of family-friendly fun. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday there will be bounce houses, climbing, and a free barbecue.

"In conclusion, the C2, Federation Engineering and Construction, and the Bonnyville community as a whole look forward to scaling new heights together. This collaboration promises an exhilarating and accessible climbing experience for everyone," according to information from the C2 Centre.
