Public help local RCMP identify suspects

The Bonnyville RCMP are giving the public credit for their help identifying two suspects. Thanks to tips from residents, officers were able to issue a warrant for 24-year-old John Vincent Fryingpan of Frog Lake.

Thanks to tips from residents, officers were able to issue a warrant for 24-year-old John Vincent Fryingpan of Frog Lake.


According to RCMP, Fryingpan has been charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property over $5,000 for his part in a gas and dash in March.


Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Bonnyville detachment at 780-343-7200.


Local tips also meant RCMP could discuss the dangerous operation of a local snowmobiler.


A 40-year-old Cold Lake man was identified as the snowmobile operator involved in a heated discussion with a cross-country skier at the Muriel Lake Campground on March 18.


A warning was issued to the male about dangerous operation of off-highway vehicles.


Grab and dash at local residence


Residents of 43 Ave. in Bonnyville were victim of a quick break and enter on March 24. Between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., their household was broken into and items were stolen.


Electronics and tools were reported to be taken from the house within that time frame.


Bonnyville RCMP Sgt. Sarah Parke said they are still investigating the theft, and are asking for the public to call them with any information or to report suspicious activity around that time on March 24.
