Two arrested for weapons-related offences

Bonnyville RCMP were responding to a call of shots fired near a Kehewin residence, when they located a 22-calibre rifle.


At 11 a.m. on July 19, local RCMP responded to a complaint that shots had been heard in Kehewin. Police responded, located, and arrested two suspects in a vehicle.


A 22-calibre rifle was seized at the scene.


Stanley Rene Mountain, 33, has been charged with four counts of reckless discharge of a firearm, four counts of discharging a firearm with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.


Thirty eight-year-old Jennifer Rosa Lee Houle was also arrested at the scene. She was charged with obstruction, failing to comply with an undertaking, and possession of a weapon while prohibited.


Bonnyville RCMP are on the hunt for Dean Gamache


Police executed a search warrant at a MD residence on July 18, where they recovered stolen vehicles, vehicle parts, and other property.


Dean Gamache, a 28-year-old Bonnyville-area male, has been charged and is wanted for possession of stolen property, failing to comply with conditions, and driving while disqualified.


Anyone with any information on Gamache’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Bonnyville RCMP detachment at 780-343-7200.


Nadeau once again behind bars


Kyle Gilbert Nadeau was arrested by Bonnyville RCMP just after 12 a.m. on Monday, July 16.


Police had been called to a Bonnyville residence regarding a person damaging property. Nadeau was located, arrested, and charged with two counts of mischief, breach of a recognizance, and breach of probation.


He appeared in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on Tuesday, July 17, and adjourned his matters to July 24.


Nadeau is also facing charges of killing/maiming/wounding a dog, theft under $5,000, and another count of breaching his conditions.


Man arrested after two-vehicle collision


Kelly Renaud, 26, told Elk Point RCMP he knew he was wanted in relation to a collision in La Corey earlier this month.


On July 5, a two-vehicle collision left a female driver with minor injuries, but the second driver, Renaud, was nowhere to be seen.


According to Bonnyville RCMP, he had abandoned his vehicle following the collision and was being sought by police.


The Elk Point RCMP paid Renaud a visit on July 9 regarding unrelated matters. Renaud admitted to the collision and was charged with dangerous operation, failing to remain at the scene of a collision, and driving while disqualified.
