Two homicide victims found near Ardmore

Police found the bodies of two men in a rural residence near Ardmore Oct. 14 after being called to a nearby residence due to complaints of a suspicious person with a firearm.

Police found the bodies of two men in a rural residence near Ardmore Oct. 14 after being called to a nearby residence due to complaints of a suspicious person with a firearm. Autopsy results reveal the two victims, aged 21 and 27, died of gunshot wounds, according to an RCMP press release.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, according to RCMP.

Brandon William Alexander Cruickshank will appear in Cold Lake Court Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. via video conferencing, according to RCMP.

The names of the victims are not being released due to their families' wishes.

The victims and the accused were residents of the home where the incident allegedly occurred, according to RCMP.

Police are not releasing information about the type of firearm or the number of gunshots at this time, due to the ongoing investigation.

A second man who was taken into custody is a witness in the investigation and has been released, according to RCMP.
