Too much alcohol had one woman acting out towards RCMP officers.
Jeanine Chisten Gadwa pled guilty to obstructing a peace officer during her appearance in the Bonnyville Provincial Courthouse on Tuesday, April 17.
The charge was in relation to a Jan. 26, 2017 incident, where officers were called to an ongoing domestic argument in Bonnyville.
When RCMP attended the residence, two witnesses described a fight that had broken out between Gadwa and another individual.
Gadwa refused to comply with officers, and was arrested.
Crown prosecutor Jordan Kerr said it took four officers to get Gadwa into the police cruiser.
The 28-year-old mother of three apologized for her actions.
According to Gadwa, she has been attending AA meetings since the incident.
“I’m sorry to the officers,” she said. “I’m not normally like that. I just had too much alcohol that time.”
Gadwa was sentenced to pay a $300 fine as a result of the charge.
