Aqua Days takes place under bright, sunny skies

One of the highlights of Aqua Day is the cardboard boat races, which included 27 boats this year.

COLD LAKE - The temperatures soared to about 30 degrees Celsius on Aug. 2, and people flocked to Kinosoo Beach to enjoy this year's edition of Aqua Days.

A foam party, lawn games, cardboard boat races, food trucks, and plenty of water fun made for the perfect summer day.

"Aqua Day was a success - the weather was hot, and there was smooth operations and great public engagement. The event went well overall, and the community response was very positive," said Heather Miller, programs and services manager with the City of Cold Lake.

One of the highlights of the day was no doubt the cardboard boat races, which included 27 boats this year.
