ATCO hosts community barbecue ahead of Oilers Hockey Clinic

ATCO staff from across the northeast region, from as far away as Fort McMurray, travelled to the Cold Lake Energy Centre on May 26 to throw a community barbecue in partnership with the Oilers Entertainment Group.

COLD LAKE - ATCO hosted a community barbecue on May 26 to kick off the Oilers Hockey Clinic at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

From May 26-28, 100 participants aged seven and 13 took part in the Oilers Hockey Clinic made possible through a partnership between the Edmonton Oilers and ATCO. The last Oilers Hockey Clinic held in Cold Lake took place in 2016.

Oilers alumni Louis Debrusk, Jason Chimera and Fernando Pisani took part in the barbecue, signing posters, jerseys and taking photos with fans. Also hanging out with fans was Hunter the Oilers' mascot.

To make the event a success, ATCO staff travelled from Bonnyville, St. Paul, Lloydminster and as far away as Fort McMurray to volunteer.
