COLD LAKE – Access to Bark Park, a dog park along Queensway Road in Cold Lake, is being temporarily disrupted due to helicopter operations taking place.

During the month of April, the Advanced Tactical Aviation Course (ATAC) will periodically be conducting helicopter operations out of the dog park area located north of CFB Cold Lake on the road to the Cadet Camp.

“Military personnel will be on scene to ensure safety of individuals and vehicles, which may result in the area being unavailable for periods of time,” stated Capt. Sophie Quemeneur, in a public service announcement on April 5.

“The helicopters cause significant wind and can cause objects to be thrown, so please keep a wide margin and follow directions when this area is active for helicopter use.”

Any questions or concerns can be addressed by calling 4 Wing Operations at 780-840-8000 ext. 4131.
