COLD LAKE - The first in-person Cold Lake Community Registration and Information Night since 2019 will be taking place on Aug. 29. at the Reid Field House at the Cold Lake Energy Centre.

For the previous three years, the information night has been held online only, but this year will offer both an in-person and online component.

Cindy Wasyluk, Community Events Programmer with the City of Cold Lake, encourages any community organizations within Cold Lake to register for a table. The cost is just $10 a table, which is payable at the front desk on the day of the event.

The event is a great way for organizations to promote their services and memberships, and to connect with other community services and groups in the Cold Lake area.

People new and old to the area will have a chance to see what Cold Lake has to offer when they walk through the field house and interact with the people at the booths and displays. Although there will not be any demonstrations or performances this year, there will be a variety of clubs, non-profit and volunteer groups, youth and adult education centres, and an assortment of fitness and sports groups in attendance.

The event is free for the public to attend and will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 29.

Wasyluk explains the online portion of the event is available year-round.

"Community organizations and clubs can fill out a form on the City of Cold Lake’s website in order to be featured on our Community Registration and Information Page. This page features information about the organization and their contact details," she explains.
