Cold Lake man charged with several counts of sexual assault

Charges have been laid against a Cold Lake tattoo artist and police believe there could be more victims.

COLD LAKE - A Cold Lake man has been charged with several counts of sexual assault with a weapon, and two counts of sexual assault, according to RCMP.

On May 20, police "initiated an investigation into allegations that a local tattoo artist had sexually assaulted several of his clients while tattooing them," according to information released by RCMP.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2015 and May of this year.

On May 24, Cold Lake RCMP arrested Dale Amos, 66, a resident of Cold Lake.

Amos has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon (x6), sexual assault (x2) and assault with a weapon. After a judicial interim release hearing, Amos was released on a release order and will be appearing in court in Cold Lake on June 14.

Cold Lake RCMP believe there are other victims and encourage them to come forward.
