LOCATED: Cold Lake man wanted in connection to stabbing that sent two to hospital

RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a male suspect in relation to a stabbing that occurred in Cold Lake First Nation, sending two men to hospital with life threatening injuries, on Jan. 23. One suspect is in custody.

On Feb. 23, Cold Lake RCMP announced that members located and safely arrested Tealyn Jason Marten on Feb. 19, 2023. RCMP thanked the public for their assistance in this matter.

COLD LAKE – Cold Lake RCMP are asking the public for help locating a suspect wanted for aggravated assault in relation to a break and enter, and the stabbing of two men in the Cold Lake area that occurred on Jan. 23.

“The victims, a male in his mid-20s and a male in his mid-30s, suffered life threatening injuries and were transported to an Edmonton hospital,” states Cold Lake RCMP in a media release. An investigation into the incident has led police to charge two people from Cold Lake First Nation.

Daidien Jewel Desjarlais, 22, who is a suspect in the Jan. 23 incident, has been remanded in custody. Desjarlais is facing charges of aggravated assault, break and enter with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Police have obtained a warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Tealyn Jason Marten. Marten is also facing charges of aggravated assault, break and enter with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and is currently on outstanding warrants for these offences.
