BONNYVILLE – The route for Cold Lake’s annual Pride Parade has been set. The driving parade will be held on June 17.

The parade will depart from 4 Wing’s Youth Centre parking lot at approximately 1 p.m. on Saturday. It will follow a route through the residential housing area on the base before travelling down Kingsway Road to Cold Lake.

“As measures will be in place to ensure traffic safety, the public can expect some potential disruptions when accessing 4 Wing,” states Capt. Sophie Quemeneur, 4 Wing’s public affairs officer.

The route will continue through Cold Lake South before moving northwards along 51st Street.

The parade will head through neighbourhoods in Cold Lake North, then travel along Lakeshore Drive as it nears the end of its route.

“4 Wing Cold Lake is proud to support local community events that promote an inclusive environment, such as the 2023 Cold Lake Annual Pride Parade,” Quemeneur adds.
