COLD LAKE – Cold Lake RCMP are investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a 49-year-old woman.
On Aug. 23 at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Cold Lake detachment received a report of a collision between a car and a lawnmower on Bates Lake Road in the Elizabeth Métis Settlement.
A preliminary investigation revealed a car was traveling westbound on Bates Lake Road behind another vehicle when a collision happened with the lawnmower, which was traveling east.
The female driver of the lawnmower, a 49-year-old from Elizabeth Métis Settlement, was pronounced dead at the scene. The adult female driver and a passenger of the car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The name of the deceased won’t be released and the RCMP continue to investigate the collision.
