COLD LAKE – The Cold Lake RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Nov. 5.

At about 7:40 a.m. on Thursday, members responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 28 and Rge Rd. 624.

Preliminary investigation revealed a truck was traveling northbound on Hwy. 28 and an SUV was heading southbound when the collision happened. The 55-year-old driver from Ardmore was pronounced dead at the scene, while the adult male driving the truck suffered minor injuries and was taking to hospital.

A third vehicle veered into a ditch to avoid the collision. The occupant of that vehicle was not injured.
