COLD LAKE - The 2023 Cold Lake Outreach graduation took place June 23, at the Heritage Hall in Cold Lake. The theme of the day was "Reach for the Stars."
After opening remarks at 1:30 p.m., there was a grad formal walk, and introductions of dignitaries and staff. Following the grad cap and gown walk, there was a slideshow of the students and messages from principal Elliott Bessey, associate superintendent Terry Moghrabi, Northern Lights School Board of Trustee Mandi Skogen, and Cold Lake mayor Craig Copeland.
After the cap toss, everyone was invited to stay for pictures and refreshments.
The graduating class of 2023 includes: Samatha Delauw-Sprecher, Savannah Delaney, Leland Durocher, Alexis Evans, Wakisha Francois, Isabella Fransky, Makenna Griffith, Madison Jefferson, Nathaniel Martial, Carmen Martin, Alexander Moosewah, and Randy Scanie.
During the ceremonies, Wakisha Francois was presented with the Member of Parliament Achievement award.
