COLD LAKE - Cold Lake Pride started the Pride Parade route on the Cold Lake 4 Wing military base at the 4 Wing Youth Centre on June 17 at 1 p.m.
Organizers of the event, Cassandra McKay and Kristen Ivany said there were 14 vehicles signed up and this number is up from their last parade. The military organized the route through the base, and staff from Cold Lake City Hall provided them with the same route the Cold Lake Cruisers follow through Cold Lake North and South.
"The aim for today is to bring awareness of the LGBTQ community and the inequalities they face," said McKay.
