COLD LAKE - A man carrying a black air-pistol was charged following a report of "a male carrying a handgun" at the A&W in Cold Lake on May 29.
RCMP were called to the restaurant at about 7:50 a.m.
"Cold Lake RCMP arrived on scene and conducted the arrest of a male matching the description," according to information from RCMP. "During the search of the male, a black air-pistol was found in his possession."
As a result of the investigation, Allan Nolan, 28, a resident of Cold Lake, was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, failing to comply with a weapons prohibition (x3), and carrying a concealed weapon.
Nolan was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions, according to information from RCMP. He will be appearing at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake on June 19.
