ELK POINT - Unofficial results from the Oct. 18 municipal election in the Town of Elk Point were showing just four votes separating mayoral candidates Parrish Tung and Terri Hampson.
Tung had 235 votes and Hampson had recorded 231 before a recount was reportedly requested.
For council seats, incumbent Tim Smereka received the most votes at 283. Jason Boorse was also successful in getting a seat with 267 votes.
Newcomer Wanda Cochrane tallied 242 votes and incumbent Dwayne Yaremkevich had 209 votes to secure the other two seats on council.
