REGINA — After reaching the West Division final in Corey Mace’s first season as head coach, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are looking to take it to the next level in 2025.

Nick Arbuckle is again proving the importance of quarterback depth in the CFL. Arbuckle is expected to be the starter Friday night when the Grey Cup-champion Toronto Argonauts visit the Montreal Alouettes.

Eugene Lewis will resume his quest to land in the CFL record book. Lewis and the Ottawa Redblacks open the 2025 campaign Thursday night, visiting the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

THE BLUE MOUNTAINS — University of Saskatchewan basketball player Gage Grassick and Wilfrid Laurier University quarterback Taylor Elgersma have been named the 2024-25 U Sports Athletes of the Year.
