Half an hour after the polls closed across Lac La Biche County, mayoral hopeful Aurel Langevin was leading the way with all of the rural voting centres reporting their unofficial results
While leading nearest candidate Tom Lett by 69 votes with six of the 13 polling stations reporting in, Langevin, who stepped down from the current council to run for the mayoral position, did lose in his own Hylo area, with unofficial results showing Lett with 54 votes to his 42. Ray Ewaskiw was a distant third with 14 votes.
Overall, Langevin is leading with 231 to Lett's 162 and Ewaskiw's 38
In Rich Lake, it was 5 for Ewaskiw, 5 for Langevin and 21 for Lett. The unofficial numbers from Craigent show 4 for Ewaskiw, 33 for Langevin and 16 for Lett. In Owl River, it was Ewaskiw with 3, Lett with 29 and Langevin with 31. .The Plamondon (II) polling station had Ewaskiw with 8, Langevin with 54 and Lett with 26. The Plamondon (I) had Ewaskiw with 4, Lett with 16 and Langevin with 66.
