RCMP have charged Franklin William Gladue-the man who committed armed robbery at seven different banks across the province including the ATB in Lac La Biche- with 32 charges including seven counts of a robbery with a weapon and eight counts of possessing stolen property.

Gladue was arrested by RCMP in the Beverly area of Edmonton on Jan. 21, along with two male youth and an adult female. The 16-year old youth from Hobbema faces eight charges including robbery with a firearm and possession of stolen property. The 15-year old youth from Bonnyville faces 15 charges, including robbery with a firearm. The female was released and not charged.

RCMP were searching for the three males after a string of armed robberies occurred in LLB, Bonnyville, Wildrose, Millet, Onoway, Wetaskiwin and Gibbons.

As of the Post’s deadline, there was no word on where and when Gladue and his accomplices will appear in court, said RCMP.

“The Crown office may conglomerate all of the charges together so he might appear in an Edmonton courtroom. Another option is for him to travel to the different areas to make his court appearances,” said Sergeant Tim Taniguchi with the “K” Strategic Communications Division in Edmonton.

Staff at the Edmonton courthouse also confirmed that there is no court date set for Gladue or his accomplices.
