A Lac La Biche family has supplied some of their home security camera footage of a recent bear encounter in their driveway. The incident became part of a recent police report on the www.lakelandtoday.ca site.
The black bear charged towards the area resident in his doorway after a bear-banger was set off to scare the bear away.
Bears have been an issue in several areas of the community in recent months. Fish and Wildlife officials and RCMP urge residents to contact officers if they see bears in residential neighbourhoods.
In the case of the bear in the supplied video, Fish and Wildlife officers were called, but could not locate the animal.
